Jesus And What He Did on the Cross

pSo many people have a hard time grasping what happened on the cross. It stands as history to many, but still a mystery to many. Let us walk down the trail of why Jesus had to die. And yet, as we continue, we may find new insights into the death and resurrection of Jesus./pp/ppWith a lot of tough concepts, sin is a hard one for many people to understand. The concept that God will demand payment for sin is foreign to many. Yet to answer our question one must understand who God is. The God of love, light, holiness, and righteousness is His name. Sin is unable to exist in such holiness. Yes, He let’s it slide for now, but not for long./pp/ppThe Lord of Life gave us free will. Now since Adam, the first man, rebelled against God we all were given that same desire to rebel. But since this occurred, we have never been able to mature our free will in the proper manner. Yet what this means is that because He is Righteous, not a one of us would be able to exist with Him./pp/pp/pp/ppa href=http://allbiblicalquotes.com/jesus-christ/Jesus Christ/a goes in the actual landscape with this set up. Since He is the Son of the Living God, He can save us. He accomplished this by putting Himself in our place for our sins. However, His sinless life made Him our Savior. The good news is that His act meant we all can have life./pp/ppNow with in mind, let us not forget our will. The Master of Life still allows us to us our free will. It should be noted that God does not force His salvation on us. As those who have independent will, we must actively say yes to Christ./pp/ppFrom the cradle itself we have been handed the sin nature. Now it is inescapable this state we find ourselves. Nonetheless, according to the actual a href=http://allbiblicalquotes.com/Bible verses/a, God has given us salvation via a href=http://allbiblicalquotes.com/jesus-christ/Jesus Christ/a, our own Lord. Adam gave us the stinker gift of death but Jesus gave us the shining gift of life./pp/ppWe have within us the power to choose life and death and it has always been that way. Our Creator is not in the habit of forcing us to do something we do not want to do, He will only tell us what the good choices are. We are the ones who must say yes to His Gospel so that we can receive it. If we say yes all that He has done for us will be ours. If we refuse to accept what God has made sure we can have, He will not force it upon us, we will loose out. Go and accept what Jesus has done for you, He is waiting./p
