pWith so much technology to entertain us now then it is kind of odd to think that anyone would get bored anymore, I mean we have access to more channels on TV than ever before, movies, billions of videos online, we can chat to friends online in an instant etc, yet we do still get bored sometimes. Often it happens when we are in a rut and find we have too much spare time on our hands, so here are some ways you can make sure you never get bored again:/p
pstrongLearn something new:/strong It is really hard to get bored if you are taking the time to learn about things that you are interested in and expanding your mind. How about expanding your language skills and learning a foreign language? Or if you dont like travelling then try to a href=http://www.howtodosignlanguage.orglearn sign language/a instead and you can use that in your local area. You could even just learn about something that has always interested you, do a short course in archaeology, learn to give a massage or even learn to play a musical instrument./p
pLearning things like that is not only going to stop you from getting bored, but it is also going to give you new life skills to use and may lead to other things. The most obvious thing if you learnt to play an instrument is to find an orchestra or band to play with, or if you gained some new qualifications then look into changing your career etc. All of this means you are not going to have time to be bored!/p
pstrongTake up a new hobby:/strong You could say that this is similar to the section above and yes they do both have you learning new skills, but hobbies are more for fun, whereas what we discussed above is more about gaining new skills to help your career or gain knowledge. As long as you live in a town or city with a reasonable population then it should be easy to find all sorts of clubs near you which will be happy to take you in and teach you all about the hobby they love. You might be surprised as the diverse range of activities and clubs that are out there for you to try, from the more common things like tennis and badminton, through to things like woodcraft and synchronized swimming./p
pA side benefit of joining a club and starting a new hobby is that you will actually get fitter. Most hobbies require you to do some sort of exercise, whether that is walking to get to your golf ball or simply walking through the countryside, so it is an easy way to get fitter. You do need to take things slowly though, if you throw yourself into a new activity with too much intensity after not being very active then you risk getting injured./p
pI think it is the idea of learning and trying new things which is the key to beating boredom. Only when we are expanding our minds and moving out of our comfort zone do we really feel like we are accomplishing something. If all this sounds good to you then dont wait until tomorrow and lose your motivation, head off now and find some courses that you can sign up for or email a club and ask about becoming a member./p
